EU approves cervical cancer jab

The European Union has approved the cervical cancer vaccine Gardasil, which could prevent nearly 3,000 cancers each year in the UK alone.

Now, I heard this on the news this evening and was amazed!

Not at the fantastic medical breakthrough that this represents, but at the furor that certain 'groups' have created, stating that this will lead to sexual promiscuity!

"WHAT?!?!?"

Now, I can understand their reasoning, but this is pretentious bulls**t!

The plan is to administer the vaccine from as early as 9 years old. The reason? 2 of the major causes of cervical cancer are contracted through sexual intercourse, so it stands to reason that the vaccine has to be administered prior to any sexual activity.

But, this doesn't encourage 'sexual promiscuity' does it? Just as teaching sex education amongst teenagers doesn't! But they don't scream about that do they?

Honestly, there are some individuals and organisations in this country that want us to immediately revert to Victorian values.

If you want to bemoan anything, how about the war crimes in Palestine and Israel?

In fact, why don't you all club together, buy the Isle Of Wight and p**s off over there and start your own commune!

If this vaccine can prevent just ONE death a year, it has my full support!

For goodness sake, GET YOURSELVES A HOBBY!
