Recently I was speaking to MetalG about Hi-Def and how I'm unable to benefit from this because finances won't allow me to purchase a Hi-Def TV.
He suggested that I go to Play.com and order the VGA Cable for the XBox 360 at £9.99 (inc Delivery) and connect my Xbox to my PC monitor as it has VGA capabilities.
I bought it, but as it is a male connector, as is my monitor, I also had to buy a Female to Female VGA converter. Again, this was £9.95.
So, as it stands now, I have my 360 connected to my PC monitor instead of my TV and wired up optically to my amp.
I can honestly say Hi-Def is fantastic! The definition is amazing and it's a real advantage in games like GRAW and MOTOGP.
Thanks 'G' for the info, I am now in gaming heaven!

Now you know why I often stop and admire the grass blowing in the wind, or the reflections in the puddles.
The rain drops are particularly overwhelming.
Now imagine that on a 40" Bravia!
It has been widely reported that the offical VGA cable gives a better picture than 3rd party cables. I have not done a comparison myself but just thought I would let you know. Agree with Davidov about admiring the grass though. Does look sweeeet in HD. Probably why I get killed lots though :-)
