Mmm, interesting.....a bat found in the UK has rabies. With the dramatic changes in climate we are undergoing, instances like this will be only too common as species indiginous to warmer climates move north and south.

Archaeologists have discovered a 100,000 year old fossil of an unknown giant camel species in Syria. There's more and more discoveries all the time, and it wouldn't suprise me if we find thousands more new species eventually. Earth has always had a proliferation of life, and there's no reason to believe it wasn't like that millions or billions of years ago. IF you are a believer in Evolution, that is.

UK forces in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Balkans will receive cash bonuses to pay off their tax bill, Defence Secretary Des Browne has announced.

I have no problem with that, but one thing in the story struck me as ludicrous!

"British troops wounded while fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq will receive an extra allowance of £10 a day while they are in overseas hospitals."

So after being wounded in combat and with the certain knowledge that you are going to suffer from some sort of traumatic stress disorder, we give them an extra £70 a week? That's gratitude for you! Ridiculous!

Oh yeah, while I remember! Channel 5 are launching a new channel - Channel 5 US (Rather imaginative eh?). Now, I'm not a great fan of most American TV shows, but on Monday at 9:00pm, they are showing the TV adaptation of Stephen Kings book 'Nightmares And Dreamscapes'. It's an 8 part series and the clips look pretty good, so it's not a low budget rendition!

And yet another story of 'hacked data' from UK users of credit card details etc. I can't believe that people don't have security on their PC. There's no excuse for it, because some of the best stuff is available free, although some technical knowledge is required to configure routers etc.

Oh yeah, on Xbox LiVE Marketplace, there is a demo of Tiger Woods PGA Tour '07 and Fifa Football 07. Both are over 1GB in size, so be patient!

Finished Lord Of The Rings today! Only got 340 points, but it's gone back. It's OK, but RTS games should stay on the PC. Unless of course Microsoft listen to people and release a keyboard and mouse for it! Dunno what I'm getting next, but I'll let ya' know.
