Full text: Draft UN Lebanon resolution

I've just read the draft UN resolution for the Lebanese/Israeli conflict, and I have a few comments.

Firstly, it states that many hundreds have died since the kidnapping of the Israeli soldiers. What it DOESN'T say is that most of these deaths are murder, not casualties of war or 'collateral' damage.

It mentions the Blue Line throughout, which is like a no-mans-land area. I've included a link to it because I didn't know what it was either!

It states that no more weapons should be sold to Lebanon, although there is no statement about selling arms to Israel. Wonder why? (I'm being sardonic!)

Also, the International Community should increase it's aid to Lebanon to help it's growth etc.

All pretty standard, but there is one paragraph that I seem to be struggling with.

sic "Elimination of foreign forces in Lebanon without the consent of its government". Does this mean that some sort of covert op is being recommended by the UN to forcibly remove Hezbollah from Lebanese soil? And I wonder who would take it upon themselves to action THAT point eh?

Anyway, whatever the politicians say, what is happening over there is murder, pure and simple! I cannot believe that our government is doing so little and being 'steered' by our U.S. involvements. Britain has turned into the 51st State of the U.S.A.

I for one do not condone or agree with my governments actions, opinions and statements regarding this conflict. They are not acting on my behalf, so who's is it? America's perhaps!?
