I Want It Now!

I don't know about you, but there seems to be a 'lull' in the gaming front for the 360. There's nothing currently available that appeals to me, so I've been doing a bit of 'trawling' and come across these future releases.

First off we have another release from THQ, GTR. There are only a few screenshots around, and the game itself is scheduled for release Q1 of 2007. Looks nice. If, at the very least, this turns out to be MotoGP but with GTR cars, it'll be a blast! Hopefully this will provide a good alternative to PGR3, which is a little too 'arcadey' for my tastes. And PLEASE don't forget the customisation options THQ. Please?

The next 'big' game is Gears Of War. Now this looks pretty good, graphically at least. And judging from the 'buzz' surrounding it's release, this is going to be a big seller. Well, Microsoft are releasing this at the same time as Sony's PS3, so they are obviously pinning a lot of hopes on this. Typical 3rd person shooter with some incredible settings and effects. Definitely for those lucky enough to have HiDef. Maybe this will be a 'rental' prior to purchase. Check out the video on IGN.


Coming soon is the eagerly anticipated Rainbow 6 : Vegas. This looks fantastic and is the latest incarnation of the Rainbow 6 series. Nuff' said! Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be as dire as Lockdown! Apparently, the mayor of Vegas is not happy about the portrayal of his beloved city within the game. Obviously he doesn't watch CSI. Would YOU want to live there?

And of course, don't forget Saints Row, another release from THQ scheduled for September 1st release. I've already done a review of the demo earlier, but this is currently No.1 on my own wishlist.
