I, amongst MANY hundreds of others have suffered the dreaded 'game scrape' noise that occurs when your XBox 360 decides, for no reason, to destroy your game disk. And no, I didn't move it while it was accessing, it's not near a subwoofer and it's flat on it's own shelf!
Now, I'm led to believe that as it's Next Gen and as we're early adopters, we are 'beta' testers. Rubbish! In my humble opinion, the Xbox 360 is not fit for purpose if it develops this fault.
And mine did! And I emailed XBox Support, and they picked up my faulty 360, replaced it and got it back to me in 5 days! Thank you, very good!
However, as you may have ascertained, I have suffered the game scrape.
The problem is this. No-one is liable, APPARENTLY, for this. So, you can't take the game back, because it's not a fault with the disk, and XBox won't accept liability, I asked.
If this was an isolated incident, I wouldn't mind. But as a result of the fault, I'm on my second copy of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter - which I can't use because THAT'S damaged too - and I've had to throw Burnout Revenge and PGR3.
This can't be right surely?
Rant over....
