Microsoft has confirmed that Japanese firm Toshiba will make its portable media player - "Zune" - to be released before the end of the year.
It will be wireless, which is a boost, but if this is Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is unclear.
Also, no pricing at the moment, but 30GB of storage should be ample. Is it going to be the iPod killer they expect and want? Only time will tell.
