MotoGP '06

Well, thanks to persistence, fantastic help and advice from fellow forum members, I am Seeded 4, ranked 1,200 out of 69,000 and have just the Extreme 1200 to finish at Legend level, and GP at Legend too.

So now I think I am qualified to say a massive "Well Done" to Climax and THQ for a fantastic game that offers one of the most addictive games I have ever played, and as a game player since 1K Space Invaders on the ZX80, that's a LOT of games.

The learning curve is extremely challenging, but the rewards for persistence, dogged determination and a certain degree of masochism make it all worth while.

Some of the graphical effects really add to the atmosphere of this game, particularly for the single player. After all, not everyone has access to XBox LiVE.

The drifiting sand, the lighting effects as clouds pass overhead and an amazing detail in the sound really contribute to an enjoyable and challenging single player experience.

On line is even better! Apart from the inherent LiVE problems that all games seem to be suffering at the moment, when you are in 'the zone', there's nothing more satisfying than hurtling round a track at 200 MPH with your favourite tunes blasting out in a vain attempt to drown the sound of the screaming engines! Yes you can adjust them, but it adds to the atmosphere.

Even if you are in a game where the majority of riders are better than you, and you are 15 seconds behind, there's always your Personal Best time to beat.

Anyway, I've spent enough time away from it, time to complete Champion Extreme 1200 before bed.

Again, thanks to everyone concerned for a fantastic game, you should all be proud!
